Wuhan Diary is the 7th book in the City Diary Series by Peter Bialobrzeski. It documents Bialobrzeski’s experiences in the city between the 22nd February and 12th March 2017.
Wuhan, straddling the famous Yangtze River, is the most populous city in central China. In 1927, Wuhan was briefly the capital of the Republic of China under the Kuomintang government.
Because of its role as a major transportation hub, it is sometimes known as ‘China’s Thoroughfare’. Today, it is the undisputed political, economic, financial, and cultural capital of central China under the PRC.
Peter Bialobrzeski is a world-renowned photographer and the recipient of several awards including the prestigious “World Press Photo Award” in 2003 and 2010. He is also the author of over ten photobooks, including “Neon Tigers”, “Heimat”, “Lost in Transition” and “Paradise Now”.
